When Devin's cover is blown, he narrowly escapes prison violence and returns to the outside world. The mission culminates in Las Vegas, where Devin goes undercover as a bodybuilding contestant. As Operation Misinformation unfolds, the FBI moves in, thwarting the plot. The story closes with a tense confrontation between Devin and Benedikt, cementing Devin's transformation from street cop to true federal operative.
