Philip Porter and his nightmares have always been a problem. They started when his parents died, and never let up. When he was young, he coped by crawling into bed with his adoptive brother, Kam. Once puberty hit, snuggling up to Kam would hurt rather than help - it was his older brother that Philip kept dreaming of.

Determined to overcome his urges, Philip devoted himself to service and the church. He even joined seminary in the hopes it would allow him to be the son the Gardners wanted. Unfortunately, Philip had more than queer attraction and nightmares to worry about.

Desire begins turning Philip into a murderous beast. He has to learn to control or accept the creature and its appetites if he's ever going to find peace.
